“ My dad and I were in downtown Carson City this past Tuesday and needed to grab some lunch and I had in mind a place I wanted to go. However they were closed for a private party. So plan B. My dad suggested we try Juan's. I thought ok I'll have a go at it. I already have my favorite Mexican restaurant that I go to. But I thought I'd be open minded and try something new. Juan's is located in beautiful downtown Carson City and is right on the main drag. It looks kinda small from the outside but as you walk in it's very spacious with lots of seating area. From the bar to a more intimate area. We were greeted and seated by a wonderful young lady. Gave us menus and took our drink orders I really had misjudged this place. It's very nice inside with booths and high table seating. I gave the menu a pretty thorough looking over and decided I would keep it simple and get a couple of carnitas tacos with rice and beans. I don't even remember what my dad ordered. But the food didn't take long to arrive. I have to say this is where I thought I will be coming back. Because the carnitas tacos were delicious. The carnitas were so perfectly made. The right amount of fat and a perfect crisp on the carne. Wrapped in two corn tortillas. With a sort of pico and cilantro. Man these were really good tacos. Same with the rice and beans. The rice was dry! Just the way I like it! The beans were perfectly refried with cheese. I was very impressed with Juan's and will definitely be coming back. As we ate I watched the staff moving around the dining room making sure everyone was okay. Making conversation and such. I was very impressed with the service and attitudes of the staff! Kudos to Juan's! ”

“ Since our first visit a month ago, we have been back for a number of amazingly delicious meals. The chile relleno is one of the house specialties. I've had it several times and it is by far the best chille relleno I've ever had. And when trying any new mexican restaurant, my first order is always the chile relleno. So over the years I have tried more than my fair share and Juan's are The Best Ever! The Governor Guinn enchiladas are also amazingly delicious and a favorite menu item. Service is super friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is cute, festive and fun, and conveniently located in the heart of downtown Carson. This is my new absolute favorite Mexican restaurant and I cannot eat here enough. Definitely recommend. ”
